Study at House of Science

I was pleasantly surprised of how student-friendly House of Science is. I was there today to study for an exam with my classmate. (You find it here .. in the corner of Storgatan/Kungsgatan)

I ordered a piece of carrot cake for 35 SEK and it must have been the most delicious carrot cake I have ever had in my life! (LTU-students has 10% off at un:ik.. so don't forget to show them your student ID before you pay)

I would really recommend you to go into town and visit the House of Science, especially if you want to change your learning environment. Either you sit in the coffee shop, where un: ik is (suits you who can learn with noise around you), or select the main hall which is slightly quieter. It is generous with power outlet so you can charge your computer and best of all - the wifi is free! Just log in with your LTU-username and password.

If you just want to stop by the place and rest your legs, you can do that! .. maybe after a long shopping spree? There is absolutely no compulsion that you have to buy something in the coffee shop. This is Luleå's new venue and it is open for everyone!

A quick guide to Luleå: The ice road

A popular winter attraction here in Luleå, is the ice road.
It runs from the Nothern harbor to the Southern harbor and all the way out to the island Gråsjälören.

Around the track are also barbecue areas with shelter.
Tip: Bring something to eat and a warm beverage.

Starting this year, there are yellow kicks to borrow if you do not own one.
These can be found on the specified "kick parking" in the Northern and Southern harbor.
